Indications
Pleuromutilin antibiotic.
Mainly used for the prevention and treatment of:
- Swine mycoplasmal pneumonia
- Actinobacillus pleuropneumonia
- Swine dysentery caused by Treponema hyodysenteriae
Dosage and Administration
Mix with feed:
- Pigs: 50–125 g per 1000 kg of feed
- Duration: 5–10 days
Adverse Reactions
At recommended dosage, pigs may occasionally show erythema.
Overdose may cause transient salivation, vomiting, and central nervous system depression.
Precautions
- Do not use in combination with polyether antibiotics such as monensin, salinomycin, or maduramicin.
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin during handling.
