Indications
Used for treatment of infections in pigs caused by:
- Gram-positive bacteria
- Gram-negative bacteria
- Mycoplasma
Such as:
- Mycoplasma pneumonia
- Escherichia coli infection
- Salmonellosis
- Pasteurellosis
Adverse Reactions
- Intramuscular injection may cause:
- Pain at injection site
- Inflammation or necrosis
- Doxycycline has certain hepatic and renal toxicity:
- Overdose may cause severe liver damage
- Rare cases of fatal renal toxicity
Precautions
- Use cautiously in animals with severe liver or kidney dysfunction
- Avoid use during pregnancy and lactation due to placental transfer and milk secretion
