Glutaraldehyde is an aldehyde disinfectant that can effectively kill vegetative forms of bacteria, spores, fungi, and viruses. When combined with benzalkonium bromide, a synergistic effect enhances the overall antimicrobial efficacy.
Indications:
Disinfectant. Used for disinfection of aquaculture animals and farming equipment.
Precautions:
- Do not mix with anionic surfactants or inorganic salt disinfectants.
- Use with caution in mollusks, amphibians, and cold-water fish.
- Dispose of used packaging properly and centrally.
